Kristopher Powell, CEO of HRPro, Proposes Renaming Campbell Road to “Dan Campbell Road” in Honor of Detroit Lions’ Historic Season

Royal Oak, MI – Kristopher Powell, CEO of HRPro and proud Detroiter, has submitted an official proposal to the City of Royal Oak to rename Campbell Road—stretching from I-696 to 14 Mile Road—to “Dan Campbell Road.” The proposal celebrates the Detroit Lions’ incredible season under head coach Dan Campbell, culminating in their clinching of the No. 1 seed in the NFC after a dominant 31-9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football.

This monumental win secured the Lions’ first-round bye and marked back-to-back NFC North Division titles for the first time in franchise history. Under Dan Campbell’s leadership, the Lions have excelled in prime-time games, boasting an 11-2 15-2 record, and have ignited hope for a Super Bowl appearance—a feat that has long eluded the team.

“As a lifelong Detroiter and die-hard Lions fan, I can’t think of a better way to honor Coach Dan Campbell and this incredible team than by renaming Campbell Road in his name,” said Powell. “This is about celebrating a new era for the Lions and showing the world how much this city stands behind its team.”

Powell has pledged to help raise all costs associated with updating street signage as deemed appropriate by the City of Royal Oak. The official request has been submitted, and updates on the city’s decision are forthcoming.

In addition to his passion for the Detroit Lions, Powell is a dedicated community leader. A graduate of Oakland University, he has served on numerous boards, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, The MedHealth Foundation, Red Run Golf Club, Notre Dame Prep, Genesys Benefit Advisors, and Automation Alley.
